Expanding operations in Mexico Japanese mold maker Ikegami builds new plant

Ikegami Moldde México, a subsidiary of Japan's Ikegami Kinko Industries Co., Ltd. in Mexico, built a mold production plant in the northern city of Monterrey to further expand its business scale in Mexico. After spending $650,000 in 2009 to build a factory in Tijuana, 1,483 miles northwest of Mexico, the company has said it is eager to expand its operations in northern Mexico, near the U.S. border. It is reported that the new Monterey plant covers an area of u200bu200b5,000 square feet and can handle molds weighing up to 8 tons. It will be completed and put into production on November 15.
