In November 2009, Japanese machine tool overseas orders achieved positive growth

According to the accurate statistics of the machine tool orders of its member units recently announced by the Japan Machine Tool Industry Association (JMTBA), in November 2009, the total amount of machine tool orders in Japan was 47.35 billion yen, a slight increase of 0.9% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%. Among them, domestic orders were 15.3 billion yen, down 2.8% month-on-month and 38.8% year-on-year, which was lower than the same period last year for 22 consecutive months; overseas orders were 32.05 billion yen, up 2.8% month-on-month and year-on-year. This is the first time that the year-on-year data of overseas orders has achieved positive growth in more than a year. In that month, CNC machine tool orders accounted for 95.5% of the total order value, which was 45.208 billion yen, an increase of 0.6% month-on-month and a year-on-year decrease of 8.4%. From January to November 2009, the cumulative order value of Japanese machine tools was 351.581 billion yen, a year-on-year decrease of 72.2%. %. Among them, domestic orders accumulated 142.011 billion yen, down 74.2% year-on-year; overseas orders accumulated 209.57 billion yen, down 70.6% year-on-year.
