In the first quarter, the total output value of the German machine tool industry was 3.1 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 22%. That's down from 31% growth in 2011. Among them, the output value of machine tools was 2.23 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 23%, which was lower than the 34% increase in 2011. The output value of cutting machine tools was 1.76 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 29%, 9 percentage points slower than that in 2011; The output value of accessories was 610 million euros, an increase of 18% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 4 points slower than that in 2011. Assembly, repair and installation amounted to EUR 260 million, an increase of 20% year-on-year and a slowdown of 2 points. In the first quarter, the total output value of German machine tools (excluding assembly, maintenance and installation) was 2.84 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 22%, 9 points slower than in 2011; exports were 2.09 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 33%, 2 faster than in 2011 Imports were 720 million euros, a year-on-year increase of 24%, and the growth rate slowed down by 18 points; domestic consumption was 1.47 billion euros, an increase of 11% year-on-year, and the growth rate slowed down by 26 points. The export rate (export/production value) was 73.6%, and the import rate (import/domestic consumption) was 49.3%. In the first quarter of 2012, the capacity utilization rate of the entire machine tool industry in the German machine tool industry was 95.1%, higher than 93.8% in the same period of the previous year. Employment was 68,264, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year, 4.1 points faster than the increase in 2011.
