In the single month of March, the total consumption of machine tools in the United States was 258 million US dollars, an increase of 58.1% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 49.5%. From the perspective of product categories, the consumption of metal cutting machine tools in the United States was 234.24 million US dollars, an increase of 51.1% month-on-month and a year-on-year increase of 52.9%. The consumption of metal forming and manufacturing machine tools was US$23.76 million, a significant increase of 188.6% month-on-month and 22.7% year-on-year. Peter Borden, chairman of AMTDA, said the growth in machine tool orders in March proved that the market was picking up faster, and this growth was achieved when the government did not provide more help for the development of the manufacturing industry and the lack of bank loans was really encouraging. .
