On January 22, an investment promotion conference for the Indian state of Haryana (referred to as 'Harbang') was held in Beijing. The promotion conference was hosted by the Indian Embassy in China and the government of Haryana, India, and co-organized by the Investment Promotion Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Beijing Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and China Fortune Land Development Co., Ltd. The meeting mainly released the investment environment and policies of the Indian state of Haryana, as well as the cooperation project between China Fortune Land Development and the state to jointly build a new industrial city. The state of Haryana surrounds the west of New Delhi and is very close to New Delhi Airport. With a total area of u200bu200bmore than 44,000 square kilometers, the state has convenient transportation, sufficient electricity, low land prices and a high proportion of young people. Haryana used to be dominated by agriculture, with traditional industries such as machine manufacturing, cement, sugar, textile, paper and copper ware manufacturing. In the past ten years, the state has vigorously attracted foreign investment and established a number of joint ventures in food processing, telecommunications, IT and auto parts. In recent years, the state's GDP has accounted for about 4% of the whole of India, with an average annual growth rate of 8%, making it a new economic development area in India. According to reports, the state hopes to attract investment in IT, textiles, garments, agriculture, food processing, healthcare, education, defence, aviation technology and public transport. At the meeting, the Indian side also introduced that foreign-invested enterprises will be given preferential policies and measures such as low land prices, proportional tax rebates, suspension of the implementation of the relevant provisions of the Labor Contract Law, no random inspections of enterprises and reduction of routine inspections. CFLD and Habang jointly build a new industrial city, which has built a good service platform for more Chinese-funded enterprises to invest and start business, which can effectively reduce the risk of foreign investment. At the same time, the auto parts manufacturing industry in Habang is relatively developed, the output exceeds more than half of that of India, and the market demand for machine tools is considerable. Enterprises in the industry who intend to take advantage of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative to develop the international market can continue to pay attention.
