Italian domestic machine tool industry recovers slowly

According to the latest data released by the Italian Machine Tool and Automation Manufacturers Association (UCIMU), in the first quarter of 2011, Italian machine tool orders increased by 19.1% compared with the first quarter of 2010. After the recession of the 2009 financial crisis, the overseas market of Italian machine tools has recovered significantly. However, compared with the first quarter of 2010, the domestic machine tool demand in Italy fell by 1.3%, and the recovery of the domestic market is still slow.
