Mitsubishi Materials Corporation will launch cutting tools limited to China
Mitsubishi Materials Corporation will launch cutting tools limited to China in September, and will also produce end mills in China, with a planned monthly output of 8,500 shanks. The current practice is to produce semi-finished products in subsidiaries in China and final products in Japan, with the prospect of lower prices after supporting production. Although the demand for cutting tools in the automotive-related field is increasing, price competition with local companies is fierce, so this response is introduced. The face milling cutters limited to China are the 'AS' series, which have the same quality and cutting function on the basis of the existing 'MS' series, and the price is lower. Plans to launch 7 varieties of 57 products. The price is set at a level that can compete with rival companies in Korea and Taiwan. Mitsubishi Materials has established a Chinese subsidiary, Tianjin Tianling Carbide Tool (located in Tianjin), which is engaged in the design and production of cutting tools in China. In addition to face milling cutters, tools such as pre-coating inserts and drills are also produced and processed and sold in Japan. In the future, it will be adjusted to implement supporting production in Tianjin Tianling.
