Murata Machinery has developed a highly versatile opposed two-axis turning center
Murata Machinery (Headquarters: Kyoto City) has developed the 'MT200' opposing twin-spindle turning machining center. According to Murata Machinery, it will be mainly used for composite processing of various components, and process integration can be realized at the production site. First launched in Japan. The new product can support various shapes of workpieces such as bar workpieces and chuck workpieces. There are two types of double turrets and three turrets. The double turret type is equipped with a main turret on the upper left side of the fuselage, and a secondary turret on the lower side. All turrets can be processed using the left and right spindles. The three-turret type is equipped with a main turret on the left side above the fuselage, another main turret on the upper right side, and a secondary turret on the bottom. The auxiliary turret can be processed with the left and right spindles. In addition, all turrets are equipped with Y-axis function (±40mm), which can install rotating tools. By combining with the optional gantry loader, bar feeder and workpiece collector, the types of workpieces that can be processed can be increased. In addition, Murata Machinery will exhibit its new products at the '25th Japan International Machine Tool Fair (JIMTOF2010)' (October 28 to November 2, 2010, Tokyo Ariake International Convention and Exhibition Center).
