Operation of BENTELER's first thermoforming technology plant in South Africa

Recently, the German auto parts manufacturer BENTELER announced that the company's new plant in Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa, officially opened. It is understood that the new plant is the first plant in South Africa to apply a thermoforming production line, and will produce a large number of automotive instrument panels, body parts, front and rear bumpers and chassis parts. It is reported that parts produced using thermoforming technology are stronger, lighter and more accurate in size. By the time it reaches full production next year, the plant will employ 250 people. The plant will supply Volkswagen Group South Africa, including models such as the Volkswagen Polo and Polo Vivo.
