Mumbai: A week after the first tunnel digging machine (TBM)

The related work, whether it is to clean up the muck, start or retrieve the tunnel shield, will be done in the evening as there will be no traffic on the road.
Once the tunnel is cleared, the MMRC will start laying the subway track.
About 30 people will work each shift in the tunnel, Gupta said.

The project is divided into two phases: the first phase (Aarey-BKC stretch)
Expected completion in September 2020 and Phase II (BKC-Colaba stretch)
Completion is expected by March 2021.
