Seiko exhibits corrosion-resistant stainless steel self-aligning roller bearings

At the 'SEMICON Japan 2005' exhibition held at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba, Japan from December 7 to 9, 2005, Seiko exhibited bearings that can be used in water, acid and alkaline environments - 'Stainless Steel' Self-aligning Roller Bearing' series. This series is an addition to the 'Spacea Bearing' series suitable for use in clean environments, vacuum and high and low temperatures. By using this bearing, the warranty period of the bearing used in the conveying equipment used in the cleaning process can be extended. The new system uses highly corrosion-resistant Martensitic Stainless Steel 'ES1' in the inner and outer wheels. ES1 suppressed the generation of Eutectic Carbide by adjusting the amount of carbon and chromium. At the same time, by adding nitrogen in the steel making process, the hardness and corrosion resistance are improved. Compared with 'SUJ2' steel used in ordinary bearings, it has more than 10 times the corrosion resistance. The allowable centering angle is 4-7°. Low-powder type and vacuum lubricants are used as lubricants. There are 6 kinds of products, the inner diameter is between 10 ~ 25mm. Listed in December 2005.
