South Korea's industrial output fell in September from August, but rose more than expected from a year earlier, preliminary data from the National Statistical Office showed on Friday. Data showed that South Korea's industrial output fell 0.6% in September from August and rose 6.1% from a year earlier on a seasonally adjusted basis. The median forecast of 10 economists polled by Dow Jones Newswires was for a 0.2% increase from August and a 5.3% increase from a year earlier. On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial output fell 2.2% in August from the previous month and rose 1.9% from a year earlier.
