From April 11th to 16th, the 12th China International Machine Tool Exhibition (CIMT 2011) was held in Beijing. This is one of the four major machine tool exhibitions in the world, and many of the latest advanced manufacturing technology products will be exhibited. The Spanish Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (AFM), the Spanish Component Manufacturers Association (AMT) and the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX) organized a delegation to participate in the exhibition. The booths of Spanish machine tool companies occupy an area of u200bu200b1474.5m2 in the E2 exhibition hall of the International Exhibition Hall. Exhibitors include: Autopulit, Bost, Danobat Group, Aetseta Etxe-tar, Fagor Automation, Ipiranga, Ibarmia, Integi, Juaristi, Kendu Tools, Kerr Korta, Laip, Lantek, Metra, Nicolás Correa, Spirsin, Shuton, Roscamat and Zayer Wait. In the past five years, the development of China's machine tool market has been breathtaking. In 2005, China's market size was not large, ranking only 17th in the Spanish machine tool export market. In the past 2010, China has become the main source of overseas orders for Spanish machine tools. At present, China is the largest producer, importer and consumer of machine tools, and the sixth largest exporter of machine tools in the world. A large number of AFM member companies, such as Fagor Forging, Fagor Automation and Nicholas Crea, all have production lines in China, and many other companies have sales offices in China, such as Danobat Group, Zaire, Ona Electroerosión, Puigjaner, White Oster and Rand. Since 2003, AFM has also entered China through the project of Tianjin Zhongxi Machine Tool Technology Training Center (CSMC). The training center is the result of a joint effort by the Chinese and Spanish governments and industry. In addition to the modern professional training center, CSMC is also an excellent tool to promote the development of the Spanish machine tool industry and support the Spanish machine tool companies to develop the market in China. AFM represents Spain's advanced machine tool manufacturing technology, and the machine tool output of its member companies accounts for 94% of the total machine tool output in Spain. In 2010, the total output value of Spanish machine tools was 613.2 million euros, and the export value was 453 million euros. About 74% of the products were exported to foreign markets. In 2010, the total sales of Spanish machine tools in China exceeded 110 million euros.
