So, how to make a unified part?
This structure will describe how this can be done.
With a simple combination of a wooden fixture and a shape template you want to make, you can reproduce the carefully crafted parts and shapes.

Before I describe the methods of making these parts, I would like to briefly describe the methods tried for the first time, which are not working well and are actually very dangerous. {

My first attempt to make these parts was to use router tables, routers, and router bits with balls.
The idea is to attach a rough wood workpiece to the template through several wood screws. (
Between the rough cut wood and the template is a thin interval washer and the wood to be cut needs to be separated from the template, which allows the router bearing to track the template and the router bit to cut the wood part. )
As shown in the figure, the wood and the template are carefully moved to the router bit.
The idea is that the bearing on the router bit limits the amount of wood that the router bit cuts because the bearing rides on the outside edge of the template, thus limiting the cut.
This does work, but there are a few issues with doing this routing: 1 your hands are too close to the router!
2 If the wood is not fed perfectly into the router bit, the router bit will cut too deep and will actually pull out the wood from your hand and throw the wood over the room at high speed.

So how do you do this in a safe way?
After thinking about this, I realized that I needed to lock the artifact down so it wouldn\'t move and I would use the router as expected (
By keeping both hands on the handle of the router).
In order to do this, I need to make a fixture that holds the rough wood and the template firmly together and provides a way for the router to trim the wood as expected.
Here are the steps to make and develop a very simple fixture design (

The use of the fixture is described in detail.
The dimensions of the wooden fixture parts detailed here need to be customized according to the size of the template you are trying to copy.
In this case, the large wooden board used is 1 \"x12\" pine wood, the smaller thin wooden strip used as a stand

I chose the pine tree because it was cheap and easy to cut.

What happens next is that the size of each hole is slightly larger than the size of the screw used to attach the template to the rough cut workpiece.

After drilling the fixture base, the wooden screws can slide through the bottom of the fixture.
Now is the interesting part. . .
In the picture above, please note the tracking of the template at the bottom of the fixture.
In this picture, a simple wood triangle gasket was made to lift the template from the bottom of the fixture.
The exact size and thickness of the gasket will vary depending on the thickness of the rough wood sheet and the router drill bit of your choice.
Next, the template is added along with several interval washers. (
You need to add enough washers to keep the rough wood level with the surface of the fixture router surface. )
When everything is aligned, the wood screws are tightened. . .
This holds the rough piece of wood and the template to the fixture so it won\'t be moved!

When using the router, uniform cutting occurs because the bottom of the router slides on the surface of the fixture router and on the top of the surface of the rough cut wood workpiece. )

Please pay attention to the shape of the router drill bit and the bearing position.
The third picture shows several key details that must be correct in order for the fixture to work properly: 1 The top surface of the rough cut wood workpiece must be aligned with the surface of the fixture router surface.
2 The rough cut wood workpiece and the cutting edge of the router drill bit have been horizontally aligned so that the router drill bit will cut the cutting edge of the rough cut wood workpiece in the desired way. (
This alignment is usually done by adjusting the depth of the router bit from the router.
For this purpose, many routers have good adjustments built in. )
The spacing of the template makes it align with the orientation of the router bit. (
Note that the router bit does not insert the template. )

The fixture must be firmly installed (

The direction of use of the router depends on the direction of rotation of the router bit.
In the case of the device used here, the router bit rotates the counter-clockwise (

So when using the router to cut rough wood chips, I moved the entire router tool in the counter
By using the router this way, the router bits are cut in a more uniform mode.

After doing it several times with the router, be careful not to remove too much material every time, and the final shape is made!
As shown in the figure, the finished wooden workpiece has the exact shape of the template, and its edges have been shaped to match the bit shape of the router!
After the finished piece of wood is screwed off from three wooden screws, it can be removed from the fixture and ready for any sanding and final dyeing/finish you may like.
It should be noted that many other parts can now be quickly manufactured by installing the next rough cut wood in the fixture (
As long as the thickness of the rough cut wood part remains the same, otherwise the spacers need to re-do some fine tuning. )
