In order to improve the international competitiveness of Japan's manufacturing industry, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan has started preparations for the large-scale Ru0026D project 'Product Manufacturing Revolution with 3D Modeling Technology as the Core' to be launched in 2014, and the specific content is currently being determined. As the core technology of the product manufacturing revolution, the technology necessary for the commercialization of a new generation of industrial 3D printers will be researched and developed to increase the forming speed to 10 times that of the existing industrial 3D printers currently produced in Europe and other countries, reaching 500cm3 per hour; forming The accuracy is increased to 5 times to ±20μm; the formable size is increased to about 3 times to 1000×1000×600mm; the types of materials such as metal powder that can be used are also increased (the above are the target values u200bu200bfor 2019). The budget for this project in fiscal 2014 is 4.5 billion yen, and the project implementation period is expected to be five years. Regarding the three-dimensional modeling technology project, the Material Industry Office of the Manufacturing Industry Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan stated that in order to develop the world's highest level 3D printer, 'it plans to develop high-speed, high-performance 3D layered modeling equipment to layer metal powders, etc. technology development as the center”. When researching and developing 3D lamination molding equipment, control software will also be developed. In addition, the company plans to develop technologies for casting high-melting-point metals such as iron and cast iron in heat-resistant laminated molds in parallel with the development of laminated metal powders. In addition, peripheral technologies such as high-performance composite parts, post-processing technologies, and recycling technologies for unused metal powders, which are necessary for the commercialization of 3D laminate molding equipment, will be developed. At the same time, it will also develop a new generation of 3D internal and external measurement and evaluation basic technology for precise measurement of 3D laminated molded products. The goal is to establish basic technology for irradiating high-energy X-rays to molded products and measuring molding accuracy and internal structure of molded products using high-precision detectors. In addition, it plans to conduct a pilot study (feasibility study) for technology development business such as next-generation industrial 3D printers. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan plans to improve the manufacturing technology of small and multi-variety high-value-added products by integrating the existing product manufacturing technologies owned by small and medium-sized enterprises across Japan through this 3D modeling technology project.
