Japan's Amada plans to invest 20 billion yen to build a new factory for sheet metal machine tools

by:Gewinn     2022-05-11
Japan's largest sheet metal processing machinery manufacturer Amada will invest 20 billion yen to build a new machine tool factory in Gifu Prefecture in 2010. It is planned to increase the sales of machine tools by 60% in fiscal 2011 compared with fiscal 2007, and cultivate them into a new source of income second only to sheet metal processing machinery. As the supply of machine tools to Europe and emerging market countries expands, large domestic companies are also making active investments. In the future, Amada plans to conduct mergers and acquisitions (Mu0026A) in the machine tool field to expand overseas markets. In the field of sheet metal processing machinery for processing metal sheets, Amada is competing with Germany's TRUMPF for the world's first throne, and the machine tool business has sales of only about 20 billion yen, which is only a medium-sized company in Japan. Driven by the expansion of exports, Japanese manufacturers' orders for machine tools increased, so manufacturers began to increase production significantly. Amada has acquired about 120,000 square meters of land in the Toki City Industrial Park, Gifu Prefecture, and will build a new factory in 2010. The production of machine tools will be completely transferred from the machine tool factory in Aichi Prefecture to the new factory, and the production capacity of lathes and grinders for processing small auto parts and medical parts will be increased by 70% compared with the original, to 260 units per month. In addition, the production of metal cutting machines will be transferred from the factory in Sakai City, Fukui Prefecture to the new factory.
