Japan's August machine tool orders fell 14.2% year-on-year

The Japan Machine Tool Industry Association announced that Japan's machine tool orders in August fell 14.2% year-on-year to 111.297 billion yen, of which domestic orders were 46.248 billion yen and overseas orders were 65.049 billion yen. Comprehensive foreign news reported on September 9th, data released by the Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association (Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association) on the 9th showed that Japan's machine tool orders in August fell by 10.1% month-on-month and 14.2% year-on-year to 111.297 billion yen. The data also showed that Japan's domestic machine tool orders in August fell by 12.3% month-on-month and 14.2% year-on-year to 46.248 billion yen; during the same period, overseas machine tool orders fell by 8.6% month-on-month and 14.2% year-on-year to 65.049 billion yen.
