Preliminary data released by the Japan Machine Tool Industry Association (JMTBA) on April 9 showed that Japan's machine tool orders in March fell by 84.5% year-on-year. Among them, domestic orders fell by 86.8%, and overseas orders fell by 82.6%. The month-on-month increase over the same period was 7.7%. Among them, domestic orders increased by 1.6%, overseas orders increased by 11.9%, and the total orders for the month reached 21.991 billion yen.
