Japan's Matsuura Machinery will conduct forecast research on 'future best-selling machine tools'

It is reported that Japan's Matsuura Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has begun to predict and study the 'best-selling machine tools' in the next 1 to 2 years. By analyzing data such as models, customer information, sales, and economic conditions, we can screen out the commonalities between best-selling models and their differences from non-selling models. The analysis results will be used in the planning and development of machining centers as a new sales method to increase sales. In the initial stage, Matsuura Machinery will select 8 types of machining centers sold to European companies engaged in sample making and processing contracting from 2007 to 2012 for analysis. The selected data are related specifications such as spindle speed, control device, economic situation in 2008, industry category and business status, a total of 769 customer information data. Based on the above-mentioned research, a number of characteristics of the best-selling models are summarized into an evaluation scale, and an analysis and evaluation software is produced. According to insiders, this approach draws out what the best-selling models have in common and clearly differentiates them from the differences between the non-selling models.
