According to preliminary data released by the Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association on the 10th, Japan's machine tool orders in October fell by 40.4% year-on-year and 28.6% month-on-month to 81.031 billion yen. Japan's domestic orders in October fell 43% year-on-year and 18.2% month-on-month to 35.952 billion yen; during the same period, overseas orders fell 38.2% year-on-year and 35.2% month-on-month to 45.079 billion yen.
