Japan's September machine tool orders fell 20.7% year-on-year

According to data released by the Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association on the 9th, Japan's machine tool orders in September rose by 0.7% month-on-month and fell by 20.7% year-on-year to 112.548 billion yen. The data also showed that Japan's domestic machine tool orders in September fell by 6.2% month-on-month and 32.5% year-on-year to 43.682 billion yen; during the same period, overseas machine tool orders rose by 5.7% month-on-month and fell 10.9% year-on-year to 68.866 billion yen.
