Japan will use robots to advance the fourth industrial revolution

According to Kyodo News, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry held a plenary meeting of the Industrial Organization Review Council composed of experts on August 23, summarizing the key policies for 2017. The meeting proposed to use robots and artificial intelligence (AI) to promote the 'fourth industrial revolution' and realize the transformation of industrial structure. Specifically, the specific measures of Japan's fourth industrial revolution include: all central departments work together to improve research bases and promote the application of AI in manufacturing; the establishment of the Japanese version of the 'Green Card for Senior Foreign Talents (Permanent Residence Permit)' to attract foreign senior IT talents . The meeting also put forward Japan's 'Vision for New Industrial Structure' around 2030, which is mainly to increase the employment of the middle class by creating innovative services and improving productivity. In addition, specific goals such as 'popularizing one service robot for one company' and 'reducing people with inconvenient mobility to zero through automatic driving' were also proposed.
