According to the 'Nihon Keizai Shimbun' report, the Japan Machine Tool Industry Association announced on November 11 that the total amount of orders received in July was 123.8 billion yen, a year-on-year decrease of 8.9%. Domestic and overseas orders fell for two consecutive months. In particular, the value of overseas orders was only 71.1 billion yen, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%, which exceeded the 2.7% decline in June. It is reported that the Japanese machine tool industry is generally worried that the reduction of overseas orders will directly affect the future development prospects of the industry. The economic slowdown in the United States and Japan, coupled with the reduction of machine tool orders by Chinese home appliance exporters, are not optimistic. Especially after China has implemented tight financial and monetary policies, the problem of customers not being able to obtain financing for machine tools from banks has surfaced. Europe, meanwhile, is being gripped by fears of slowing growth. In addition, Japan's domestic orders fell by 10.3% year-on-year, which was lower than the level of the same period of the previous year for six consecutive months. The analysis believes that the decrease in equipment investment in the automobile industry and the mold industry is the main reason. The person in charge of the Machine Tool Industry Association said: It remains to be seen whether the machine tool order has entered a retrogressive situation.
