According to the Russian Machine Tool Association, from 2008 to 2009, affected by the financial crisis, the Russian machine tool industry declined seriously, and it began to pick up in the second half of 2010. In 2012, affected by the global economic environment, the Russian government issued a number of policies and invested funds to actively promote the development of the Russian machine tool industry. The Russian government even promulgated regulations, starting from July 1, 2011, as long as the machine tools used in national defense and military industries are not allowed to be imported, the machine tool association is responsible for reviewing them.
